Extraordinariness in the ordinary...

Sometimes in the midst of our busy work lives, it's easy to forget that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact. There is inspiration everywhere around us. In our boring realities to fictional books and movies. Everywhere.

The other day I was watching "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara". Am sure you've watched it. If not, the weekend is here.

I love the film.

Three friends go on a road trip to Spain and learn some valuable life lessons along the way.

What's not to love about this? Spain. Road trip. Friends. Finding Katrina Kaif?

One of my most favourite scene is when Imran (Farhan Akhtar) recites a poem that he wrote about chasing your dreams and living life to the fullest.

While we may not all be able to drop everything and go on a road trip to Spain, we can still take inspiration from Imran's words.

Now, I'm not suggesting that you start writing poems or participate in a bull race (although if you do the latter, I want pictures!). Doing small acts that bring us joy and pursuing our passions outside of work can help us stay motivated and fulfilled. Especially, in the rut that we wrap ourselves with.

It's important to pursue those, for our own self. But also know that the impact you create in others life is bigger than you think it is! And, by that I don't mean buying tickets to Spain for your friends, it could be just reminding them of an impending trip!

"You don't need to climb a mountain to find inspiration - sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impact." The ordinary stuff.

Small acts of kindness, as simple as the act of complimenting a friend at work on a job well done, may seem like an insignificant gesture, and yeah you may not win Nobel prize or even employee of the month, but it can make a world of difference to someone who may be feeling under-appreciated or overworked. Or just taking a friend who is having a shitty day out for a coffee or a drink and listening to them, genuinely. I mean who doesn't love caffeine or a drink or just someone genuinely listening to them?

Finding inspiration in small acts isn't about discounting the value of big accomplishments or goals. Rather, it's about recognising the beauty and potential in the everyday moments of our lives. Who knows what kind of inspiration and positivity it could bring into your life and the lives of those around you.

"Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love."
