Grateful and Mindful..

Updated: Feb 25, 2023

I love watching "The Office". It's one of the most hilarious sitcoms to have ever been televised. I mean, some of the jokes would be considered so offensive that the writers would have got cancelled from the planet.

The irony of it all, is that, while it is as I said one of the most hilarious shows, the quote I love is a serious one that comes from Andrew Bernard (Andy) when he says, "I wish there was a way to know you're in "the good old days", before you've actually left them."

How beautiful, Isn't it.?

But it is not only to do with our circumstances, it's got to do with the people in our lives as well. Whether it is in our relationships, or at workplace with colleagues and employees or with our own self. We don't really appreciate the importance of who we have or who we are until we don't have them anymore.

As the saying goes, "You don't know what you've got until it's gone." This perfectly captures the essence of the importance of someone being felt only when they are not there. We often take the people and things in our lives for granted, and only realize their true value when they're no longer present. The importance of someone being felt only when they are not there is a reminder to be more grateful and mindful of what we have in our lives.

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." It's important to take a moment to appreciate the people and things that make our lives better before they're gone.

If you have someone who makes you life better, don't delay to tell them how much you value them and how grateful you're.
