The Lion remembers - so should You!

A few years ago, I sat across from someone I deeply admire. I was a mess - self-doubt doing its usual dance, imposter syndrome lurking in every corner of my body. I kept talking about how small I felt in rooms full of noise and sharp elbows. Mostly, living in my head.
He looked at me, calm and clear.
And he said, “Put your head up. You’re a lion. Don’t forget that. And neither will the sheep.”
Got reminded of that line, today!
We shrink ourselves so often, not because we’re weak - but because we forget. Forget our fire. Forget that we’ve survived days we never thought we would. Forget that courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it just lifts its head.
There’s a quiet power in remembering who you are. Not for applause. Not to prove anything. But because that’s your truth. You were never meant to cower or tiptoe. You were meant to walk like you belong, because you do.
It also reminded me of one of the Ex-HR Head and a mentor who would address us "Tiger". Would uplift us.
So, to all of you, who feel you're losing your voice and the fire in your heart, I say, Put your head up. Even if it shakes. Especially when it shakes. The lion in you deserves nothing less.
And the world? Oh, it remembers too.
