The Real Battlefield..

A warrior once marched into a temple, chest puffed, sword gleaming, ego louder than a Teams notification. "I've conquered many lands," he declared. The master, probably sipping his metaphorical chai of stillness, replied, "Now conquer the space between your thoughts."
Boom. Existential mic drop.
Silence followed. The kind that slaps harder than your mom's chappal when you said "I know better".
It reminded me of the Gita:
"Bandhur ātmātmanas tasya yenātmaivātmanā jitah"
"One who has conquered the mind is a friend to the self."
We win promotions, debates, Instagram and Twitter battles... But that inner monkey mind? Still flinging bananas.
This space between thoughts - have you felt it? That pause when wake up and forget which year it is, your to-do list, your trauma? That's not emptiness. That's freedom.
But like the warrior, most of us are addicted to movement. Sit in silence and the brain panics: "What if you're wasting your life? How will you FIRE at 45? Should you be in the gym? Or selling everything to live in Goa?"
Truth is - real courage isn't wielding a sword. It's putting it down.
Just sit. Conquer nothing. And when the next thought comes, let's greet it with a smile. For, we have met our next battle. Gently.
Namaste, fellow warrior king.
